Description & Requirements
Start your day with a delivery team and head out on a 3‑wheeled electric vehicle, delivering safely and reliably to your local community while learning from experienced Rider Mentors.
Being on the road with us at Australia Post means freedom, fresh air, and work that moves with you. Kick off your day surrounded by a great bunch of people before heading out to deliver for your local community. Wherever the road takes you, you’re backed by a team that values safety, supports your wellbeing, and gives you room to grow.
About the opportunity
As a Postie, you’ll deliver on a modern three‑wheeled electric delivery vehicle, representing a trusted national service and playing an important role in keeping communities connected. Each day starts as part of a supportive team, preparing mail and small parcels at the facility before heading out to complete deliveries to homes and businesses with care and consistency.
Safety is built into every part of the role, from completing daily vehicle checks to following well‑established processes that support confident, reliable delivery in changing conditions. You won’t be doing it alone — experienced Rider Mentors provide hands‑on guidance and ongoing support, helping you build skills, confidence and capability over time.
This role suits someone who takes pride in delivering strong outcomes, values teamwork and safety, and is motivated to succeed and grow in a role that makes a real difference every day.
About you
- Hold a full or probationary Australian motorcycle licence and pass required assessments.
- Flexible to work additional hours when needed.
- Reliable and detail‑focused, handling mail and parcels up to 16kg.
- Meet safety requirements, including the role’s safe working load limit (120kg or less)
- Keen to learn and progress, with pathways into senior delivery or frontline leadership roles.
What’s in it for you?
- Fixed Term opportunity offering a 15% shift penalty from commencement, plus 12% superannuation
- The perfect balance of a diverse, supportive team to connect with and your own time and space on the road by yourself
- Working hours that gives you flexibility to make space for what’s important to you either before or after work
- Your safety and wellbeing is prioritised above everything else, so you go home the same way you came to work
- Opportunities for training, growth and development with pathways in transport or other areas of the business
- Discounts and offers on lots of your favourite brands via Post Perks for more cash in your pocket, plus access to other health and wellbeing resources
