About the role:
We are currently seeking a self-starting, enthusiastic and driven Biomedical Engineering Intern to join our team for a three month period. This internship will provide the successful candidate with the skills required to build on their knowledge of how medical device technology fits into everyday clinical practice, whilst utilising their skills and training in a practical environment.
Reporting to the Biomedical Engineer Team Lead, the successful intern will be responsible for assisting the Technical Services Team in repairing, testing and calibrating Infusion Medical Devices supplied to Public and Private Hospitals.
The successful intern will also be able to build and integrate their communication and engineering skillset to effectively assist in troubleshooting defective equipment.
Key Accountabilities:
- Assist the Technical Services Team with the repair, test and calibration of Fresenius Kabi medical devices.
- Assist the Technical Services Team in supporting service contracts with spare parts issues and logistics.
- Complete required reports within the designated timeframe (e.g. expenses, service reports, etc.)
- Complementing Sales/Marketing relationships with customers and advocating a “superior customer service experience” to external customers.
What we are looking for:
- Working towards a Degree in Biomedical Engineering/Diploma of Electrical Engineering/ Advance Certificate in Electronics or related field
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Proactive and enthusiastic working style
- Strong communication skills
- Responsible and corporative team player
- Knowledge in Information Technology and networking is desirable.
- Highly proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite.
