About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Building Project Manager to join our Northern Territory team. This leadership role is responsible for managing projects from contract award through to completion, ensuring strong commercial outcomes, safe delivery and high-performing project teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage construction projects from planning through to completion
  • Develop, manage, and monitor detailed construction programs
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to a high quality standard
  • Manage subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams effectively
  • Oversee financial performance including forecasting, cost tracking, variations, and margin control
  • Identify commercial risks and opportunities and implement effective strategies
  • Administer contracts, including head contracts and subcontracts
  • Maintain high safety and compliance standards across all projects
  • Lead, mentor, and develop project teams

About You

  • 5–10+ years’ experience in project management within building/construction projects
  • Demonstrated experience working with Tier 1 or Tier 2 contractors
  • Strong and consistent employment history demonstrating solid tenure
  • Defence project experience (highly desirable)
  • Trade qualified carpenter or tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Engineering, or similar
  • Strong commercial acumen and financial management capability
  • Strong contract administration skills
  • High level of competency in project management software (e.g. Procore, Aconex, MS Project)
  • Proven ability to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to a high-quality standard
  • Strong leadership capability with the ability to lead, mentor, and develop teams
  • Ability to effectively manage subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams
  • Ability to identify and manage risks and opportunities
  • Hold a current White Card
  • Hold a current DCAC or ability to obtain
  • Flexibility to travel to regional projects when required
  • Ability to pass pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol testing
