About Us

Soprano’s is a growing Italian-style restaurant specialising in delicious pizzas, pasta and other popular meals. We are looking for passionate and reliable kitchen staff to join our team.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Chef/Cook/Pizza Maker who can work in a fast-paced kitchen environment, maintain high food quality and ensure excellent food preparation and presentation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook pizzas, pasta and other menu items.
  • Prepare pizza dough, sauces and fresh ingredients.
  • Operate pizza ovens and other commercial kitchen equipment.
  • Prepare and cook food according to recipes and quality standards.
  • Manage food preparation and kitchen operations during busy periods.
  • Maintain food safety, hygiene and cleanliness standards.
  • Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering supplies.
  • Minimise food wastage and maintain portion control.
  • Work effectively with other kitchen team members.
  • Follow workplace health and safety requirements.

Skills and Experience

  • Previous experience as a Chef, Cook or Pizza Maker preferred.
  • Experience in pizza preparation and commercial kitchen operations.
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good time management and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends and public holidays.
  • Positive attitude, reliability and willingness to learn.
