Billabong Zoo is seeking expressions of interest from enthusiastic, friendly and motivated junior team members to join The Meeting Point Café team.

This position is perfect for school-aged applicants, with shifts primarily available on weekends and during school holidays.

Our Hospitality and Retail team members play an important role in creating a positive and memorable experience for our visitors. As a Junior Team Member, you will assist with:

• Preparing and serving food and drinks
• Serving ice creams, snacks and café items
• Assisting customers at the counter
• Operating the point-of-sale (POS) system (training provided)
• Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards
• Restocking shelves and displays
• Supporting the team during busy periods

You’ll be working in a fun, fast-paced environment where teamwork, friendliness and a positive attitude are essential.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

• A friendly and confident attitude
• Willingness to learn new skills
• Reliable and punctual
• Ability to work well as part of a team
• Comfortable speaking with customers
• Availability on weekends and during school holidays
• Must have the legal right to work in Australia.

DESIRABLE CRITERIA

• Any experience in customer service, sport teams, volunteering, or school leadership
• Food Handling / First Aid Certificate is adventageous
• Interest in conservation, wildlife, or eco-friendly practices that align with the zoo's mission and values.
