Ferguson Plarre Bakehouses is a multi-award-winning, family-owned bakery with over 70 stores across Victoria. Since 1901, we’ve been delighting customers with our premium cakes, pastries, and baked goods. Our Truganina Central store is now on the lookout for a passionate and enthusiastic Café All Rounder to join our friendly and energetic team!

Position: Café All Rounder

Employment Type: Casual

Location: Brimbank Shopping Centre

Availability Required: Monday-Sunday (atleast 3 days)

About the Role:

We’re seeking a motivated and customer-focused team member who thrives in a fast-paced café environment. You’ll be an all-rounder, confidently supporting the day-to-day operations and delivering exceptional service. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Serving customers with a friendly and professional attitude
  • Taking cake orders and assisting with general front-of-house duties
  • Making coffee and other beverages (barista experience highly regarded)
  • Maintaining store cleanliness and food safety standards
  • Handling cash and EFTPOS transactions accurately
  • Assisting the team to ensure smooth and efficient operations

What We’re Looking For:

We’re after someone who is enthusiastic, reliable, and eager to learn. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • A positive, can-do attitude with strong initiative
  • Basic cash handling and POS knowledge
  • Flexibility and reliability, especially on weekday mornings
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Previous café or hospitality experience (preferred but not essential)
  • Barista skills are a bonus
