Full job description

We are looking for a friendly, reliable and enthusiastic Front of House team member to join our café team in Williamstown.

About the Role

As a Front of House team member, you will be responsible for creating a welcoming experience for our customers while supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of the café.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greeting customers and providing friendly, attentive service
  • Taking customer orders and processing payments
  • Serving food and beverages to customers
  • Clearing and resetting tables
  • Maintaining a clean, organised and presentable dining area
  • Assisting with takeaway orders
  • Communicating customer requests and dietary requirements to the kitchen
  • Supporting the team during busy breakfast, brunch and lunch periods
  • Restocking front-of-house supplies when required
  • Following food safety, hygiene and workplace procedures
  • Providing excellent customer service at all times
  • Working effectively as part of a small and supportive team

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous café, restaurant or hospitality experience preferred
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Friendly, positive and approachable personality
  • Ability to remain calm and organised during busy periods
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Well-presented and professional
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • A genuine interest in hospitality and creating a great customer experience

Barista skills are an advantage but not essential.
