Neko Geelong Café is looking for a friendly, passionate, and reliable Barista to join our team! We’re all about serving great coffee, providing excellent customer service, and creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers.

About the Role

As a Barista at Neko Geelong Café, you will play an important role in delivering quality coffee and a great customer experience. You will work closely with the team to ensure smooth daily operations and maintain a clean, organised, and welcoming café.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve high-quality coffee and other beverages.
  • Provide friendly and efficient customer service.
  • Take customer orders and process payments accurately.
  • Operate and maintain coffee machines and café equipment.
  • Keep the coffee station, dining area, and workspaces clean and organised.
  • Assist with general café duties, including restocking supplies and cleaning.
  • Work effectively as part of a team during busy periods.
  • Follow food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety standards.

About You

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has barista experience and a passion for making great coffee.
  • Has excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Is reliable, punctual, and well presented.
  • Can work efficiently in a busy café environment.
  • Has a positive attitude and enjoys working in a team.
  • Is willing to learn and contribute to the success of the café.

Previous café experience is preferred. A current food safety or food handling certificate is an advantage, where applicable.
