About the Role

We're looking for a Part Time (0.8 FTE) Foster Care Case Worker - Assessment to join our team based at Kent Town to cover a 12 month Parental Leave contract

We are looking for dynamic, values-driven individuals to contribute to our innovation and expansion. Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage an assessment case load of carer applicants in the LC Assessment Team to conduct thorough, competency-based foster carer assessments using the Step By Step assessment tool and process, OR other nominated assessment tools and processes as required.
  • Assist the Placement Team with the matching of children and young people into home-based placements.
  • Provide information and ensure completion of mandatory training of foster care applicants

What You’ll Need to Succeed

Essential Criteria

  • Accreditation in Step by Step Assessment tool
  • Extensive experience in the out of home care sector
