Casual Medical Receptionist – Melbourne CBD

Immediate start | Casual with potential for part-time

We are a busy, well-established general practice in the heart of Melbourne CBD, and we're looking for a warm, reliable and organised Medical Receptionist to join our front-of-house team on a casual basis.

About the Role

You'll be the first point of contact for our patients — in person and on the phone — and a key part of keeping the clinic running smoothly each day.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Welcoming and assisting patients in a professional, friendly manner
  • Managing incoming calls, appointment bookings and patient enquiries
  • Processing billing, including Medicare and private payments
  • General reception and administrative duties
  • Supporting the Practice Manager and GPs with daily clinic operations
  • Maintaining patient confidentiality and accurate records at all times

About You

  • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to juggle multiple tasks and competing priorities with a calm, can-do approach

What Will Help You Stand Out

  • At least 12 months' experience in medical reception, or a background in healthcare
  • Experience with Best Practice practice management software
  • A current CPR certificate (or willingness to obtain one)

Full training will be provided to the right candidate.
