Job Description

Ramsay Health Care is seeking an experienced National Manager, Catering & Service to shape the future of hospitality and dining experiences across our Australian hospital network. This is a strategic leadership role responsible for defining and delivering Ramsay’s national catering and hospitality proposition - bringing together culinary excellence, patient experience, operational performance, and commercial sustainability. Working collaboratively with clinical partners, you will lead and transform non-clinical patient experience food, and hospitality during their healthcare journey. You will lead the evolution of Ramsay’s dining experience, ensuring our offering reflects the quality, care, and service expectations of a leading healthcare organisation. Partnering with hospital leaders, State Managers, Procurement, onsite teams, and specialist hospitality stakeholders, you will drive innovation across catering operations, supplier partnerships, patient service, and culinary strategy.

What You’ll Do

You will lead the evolution of Ramsay’s catering and hospitality services, partnering with hospital leaders, suppliers, and frontline teams to deliver exceptional service outcomes.

Key accountabilities include:

  • Develop and deliver Ramsay’s national culinary and hospitality strategy, creating a consistent and high-quality dining proposition across hospitals.
  • Shape the future look and feel of Ramsay’s patient dining experience, drawing on best practice from hospitality, healthcare, and premium service environments.
  • Partner with hospitals to identify opportunities to improve food quality, service delivery, and patient satisfaction.
  • Lead menu development and innovation, culinary standards, recipe development, and food service frameworks.
  • Build strong partnerships with internal hospitality specialists, chefs, suppliers, and third-party providers to deliver high-quality patient experience in line with clear budget parameters
  • Drive initiatives that balance in-house capability with external partnerships and innovative service models.
  • Provide strategic oversight of catering performance, budgets, compliance, and operational standards.
  • Lead Ramsay’s national food safety system
  • Collaborate with Procurement and operational teams to improve supply chain performance, commercial value, and service outcomes.
  • Influence and support onsite teams to embed consistent hospitality standards nationally.

What You’ll Bring

You are an experienced hospitality leader who thrives in complex, multi-site environments and can balance customer experience, operational excellence, and commercial outcomes.

Key skills and experience include:

  • Significant senior leadership experience within large-scale hospitality environments such as healthcare, hotels, premium dining, aviation, or multi-site hospitality organisations.
  • A strong background in end-to-end catering, food and beverage operations, and customer experience.
  • Proven experience developing consumer-driven hospitality strategies, culinary concepts, and service propositions.
  • Experience managing large-scale budgets, supplier partnerships, and operational performance.
  • Strong understanding of food safety, compliance, and quality standards.
  • The ability to influence senior stakeholders and build strong partnerships across diverse teams.
  • A passion for creating exceptional hospitality experiences and driving continuous improvement.

What We Offer

  • An attractive executive remuneration package, recognising the strategic impact and national scope of this leadership role.
  • The opportunity to shape and transform hospitality services across Australia’s largest private healthcare network, influencing patient experience, service excellence, and operational performance at scale.
  • Significant leadership and professional development opportunities, with the ability to collaborate with senior executives and drive meaningful change across Ramsay’s national hospital network.
  • Access to an exclusive rewards program, offering premium discounts and benefits with leading national and global brands.
