  • Variety of Sites and Rosters Available. Example:

Work a 9 days on 5 days off roster, earning a salary of $104,000pa plus Super

OR

Work a 14 days on 7 days off roster, earning a Salary of $85,000pa plus Super

  • Enjoy free on-site Gym access & recreational facilities.
  • FIFO from Townsville or Brisbane Available.

The Position

  • Work collaboratively with a team of Chefs, Kitchen Utilities and Dining Room employees
  • Buffet style bulk cooking for Breakfast and Crib Lunch, or Dinner and Desserts
  • Ensure OH&S compliance, adhering to safe work practices and food handling procedures
  • Ensure all catering controls are in place, and wastage is kept to the minimum
  • Maintain high standards of food hygiene, safety, infection control and cleanliness in accordance with Compass standards
  • Assist Head Chefs in managing team performance and employee development

The Person

  • You will be a qualified Chef with a minimum Cert III in Commercial Cookery or Equivalent
  • Bulk catering or buffet experience is essential.
  • You will have the ability to work under pressure and to meet tight deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and great time management is a must.
  • Excellent knowledge of all kitchen procedures and operations
  • Excellent knowledge of food safety and able to manage compliance.
