About Chaiverse

Chaiverse is a well-established hospitality venue located in the heart of Werribee, Victoria. We specialise in authentic and contemporary cuisine, delivering high-quality food and excellent customer service in a welcoming dining environment. Operating seven days a week, we are seeking an experienced and passionate Chef to join our growing team.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepare, cook and present high-quality meals in accordance with established recipes and presentation standards.
  • Plan and assist in developing menus using seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
  • Maintain consistency in food quality, taste and presentation.
  • Supervise daily kitchen operations and coordinate kitchen staff.
  • Monitor food preparation, portion control and kitchen workflow.
  • Ensure compliance with Australian food safety, hygiene and WHS regulations.
  • Maintain a clean, safe and organised kitchen environment.
  • Manage stock, food ordering, storage and minimise wastage.
  • Train and support junior chefs and kitchen staff.
  • Assist with cost control and continuous improvement of kitchen operations.

Essential Qualification & Experience

The successful applicant must have:

  • Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery and/or Diploma of Hospitality Management (or equivalent); or
  • At least three (3) years of full-time experience as a Chef; or
  • At least one (1) year of relevant experience together with the required commercial cookery qualifications.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety, kitchen operations and stock control.
  • Excellent organisational, communication and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
