What Does a Day in the Life of a Chef at Cater Care Look Like?

Food Preparation & Presentation: You will be responsible for preparing and presenting a variety of meals, including breakfast, crib, dinner, dessert, and functions.
Dietary Requirements: Ensuring adherence to special dietary needs, such as allergies and specific requests, is key to delivering a safe and enjoyable dining experience.
Food Safety Compliance: You’ll play a critical role in adhering to our Food Safety Program, ensuring safe and high-quality meals are served every time.
Stock Management: Assist with stock ordering, rotation, and stocktaking to ensure the kitchen is well stocked and organized.
Kitchen Hygiene & Safety: Maintain a clean kitchen, equipment, and utensils while adhering to food hygiene and safety practices.
Customer-Focused Service: Provide fast, effective service with a smile, ensuring a positive dining experience for all.
Team Collaboration: Assist the broader team as required, always working together to ensure kitchen operations run smoothly.
Safety Culture: Demonstrate a strong safety culture that aligns with the Cater Care Safety Commitments, ensuring a safe and secure working environment for everyone.

What We Offer:

About You:
Qualifications & Experience: Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent (high-volume bulk cookery experience is highly regarded but not essential).
You’re passionate about creating high-quality, delicious meals.
Team Player: Ability to work well independently, as well as with other team members.
Customer Service: A commitment to genuine, friendly customer service and a motivated, enthusiastic, and positive ‘can-do’ attitude.
Fast-Paced: Ability to work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment, sometimes for long periods.
Professionalism: Pride in personal appearance & hygiene.
Safety Focused: A first-rate safety-focused attitude, ensuring you adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines.
Clearance: National Police Clearance (within 6 months). You will also be required to obtain a police clearance and undertake a pre-employment medical assessment as part of the hiring process.
