About the role
This role is within the Assessment Division at NESA which is responsible for developing, monitoring and managing the assessment and examination processes for students in NSW.
The Exam Support Officer delivers front line customer service to a broad range of clients, including teachers, principals, and school administration staff, HSC exam staff, parents/guardians and students in administering NESA’s Online tests, specifically the Minimum Standard Literacy and Numeracy tests and HSC online exams and other written exams.
On a day-to-day basis you will be responsible for:
- Providing level one technical support to a range of stakeholders in administering NESA’s Online tests and exams, and providing support to clients accessing and using eServices, including Schools Online and the web-based testing platform.
- Preparing and reviewing support documentation.
- Contributing to and participating in user acceptance testing.
- Contributing to identifying and implementing system enhancements.
- Providing customer service to other HSC exam staff, via phone and email.
- Providing support to other unit programs at NESA.
To be successful, you will need:
- A valid NSW Working with Children Check for paid employment.
- Experience maintaining quality customer service whilst working in a high-pressure work environment.
Note: during peak periods, the Exam Support Officer is required to work outside of normal business hours and at other Sydney locations.
