About Us:

Position Overview:

We seek a dedicated and empathetic fluent English-speaking Male and Female Disability Support Worker (As per Participants request) to join our team.

The ideal candidate will posses strong written and verbal communication skills. In this role, you will be crucial in delivering high-quality support and care to individuals with disabilities, ensuring their comfort and well-being while fostering a positive and respectful environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide assistance with daily living activities, this may include but not limited to: Transport to appointments, domestic cleaning, social opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain individualized care plans in collaboration with clients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Offer emotional support and companionship, encouraging social interaction and participation in community activities.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members, providing clear and accurate information about care plans and any changes in the client’s condition.
  • Document care activities and progress, maintaining accurate and confidential records.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe and hygienic environment for clients.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.

Qualifications:

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, families, and team members.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating reliability and flexibility.
  • Relevant certification or training in disability support (Minimum Certificate 3) is preferred.
  • A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation may be required.
  • Required documents: First Aid, CPR, WWCC, NDIS WSC etc

Job Type: Casual

Pay: From $35.00 per hour

Licence/Certification:

  • First Aid & CPR Certification (Preferred)
  • Working with Children Check (Preferred)
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check (Preferred)
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module (Preferred)
  • Infection and Prevention Control Certificate (Preferred)
  • Driver Licence (Required)
  • Fire Safety Certificate (Preferred)
