Salary $90,913 - $114,917 p.a. (Pro Rata) RN/M2C | 32 Hours Per Week – Contract Until November 2026

Support the coordination and delivery of clinical trials focused on memory and cognitive health!

About the role:
Reporting to the Nurse Consultant – Memory Trials Unit, this role will be involved in providing specific support to the Memory Trials Unit, Division of Rehabilitation, Aged and Palliative Care in the provision and management of a nursing and patient care service to clients enrolled in research studies.

Duties for the role will include:
Assists with the coordination of clinical research studies (in accordance with study protocols / methodology / research guidelines). Liaises with chief investigators, study coordinators, project managers and relevant agencies: Research and ethic committee applications / reporting; Recruitment and randomisation; Database establishment and maintenance; Baseline measurement and outcomes assessment; Implementation of appointment schedules and management of study medications; Provision of a high standard of clinical care and education to fulfil the criteria of the study or trial.
Assess individual patient/client needs, plan, implement and/or coordinate appropriate service delivery from a range of accepted options including other disciplines or agencies.
Participate in quality improvement activities that contribute to patient/client safety, risk minimisation and safe work activities within the practice setting.
Help to maintain a learning culture by being a resource person, encouraging reflection and professional development, and assisting others to maintain portfolios/records of learning.
Establishing, implementing and evaluating systems, which ensure palliative care best practice/evidence and patient/client outcomes.

About you:
Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.
Demonstrated competence and experience in acute or sub-acute care in accordance with the relevant standards
Registered Nurse/Midwife with at least 3 years, full time equivalent, post registration experience.
Experience in the leadership and direction of student nurses, enrolled nurses and less experienced registered nurses.
Effective communication, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
