Full job description
The purpose of this role is to contribute to diagnostic, educational and research activities as an Anatomical Pathology Registrar while undertaking specialist training under the guidance of senior medical staff and progressing through the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia training program.
What you'll do
In this role you will examine and report pathology specimens, develop diagnostic and systemic pathology knowledge, participate in autopsy services, communicate significant laboratory findings to clinicians, contribute to research activities, participate in teaching and education programs, attend clinico-pathological conferences, support quality and accreditation activities, and work collaboratively within specialist Anatomical Pathology services across the statewide training network.
About you
We are searching for someone who:
Holds MBBS or equivalent and is eligible for Medical Board registration
Has an interest and commitment to Anatomical Pathology training
Can communicate effectively with clinicians and multidisciplinary teams
Has an interest in research, teaching and education activities
Demonstrates initiative within complex clinical environments
Is willing to rotate across Queensland training laboratories as required
