- Full time ongoing opportunity
- Parramatta CBD office location, with hybrid working arrangements available. The team currently attends set days in the office on Thursdays, Fridays and every second Tuesday
- Salary ranges from $129,464 to $142,665 p.a. plus super and annual leave loading
About the role
In this role, you will play a key part in strengthening our department’s approach to fraud and corruption control.
You will support the development and implementation of a fit-for-purpose Fraud and Corruption Control system, including policies, procedures, and fraud and corruption control assessments, that identify, prevent, detect and manage these risks across our department.
You will be responsible for:
- Providing expert technical advice on fraud and corruption control
- Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of controls and recommending improvements
- Building strong relationships with senior stakeholders to gain buy-in and drive fraud and corruption awareness across the department
- Analysing data to identify trends, patterns and gaps, supporting targeted risk mitigation strategies.

About you
If you have the following skills and experience, we’d love to hear from you:
- Demonstrated experience managing fraud and corruption control systems within a large, complex organisation
- A strong commitment to integrity, with the highest standards of ethical and professional conduct, and the ability to provide independent, objective advice
- Proven ability to negotiate from an informed position, applying fraud and corruption guidance and best-practice methodologies, and confidently challenging contrary advice when required
- Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department’s Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department’s Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.
Essential requirements of the role
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent workplace experience
- Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education
- Current and valid Working with Children Check Clearance for paid employment.
