Make a real difference in the lives of young people across Frankston and the Mornington Peninsula by guiding those at risk of long-term unemployment toward brighter futures. As a Youth Facilitator, you’ll walk alongside disengaged youth, helping them reconnect with education, gain meaningful skills, and access opportunities like traineeships, apprenticeships, or employment.
About the role
We are seeking a dedicated Youth Support Facilitator, more than just job support, you’ll be a steady presence—empowering personal growth, building life skills, and inspiring confidence in young people to believe in themselves and their future.
Reporting to the Client Services Coordinator this is a Part-time (30.4 hours per week), Max-term (12-month contract) role, located in Frankston, VIC.
Conditions
Compensation is in accordance with Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Award (SCHADS) - Level 5.
How you will make an impact
- Help shift a young person’s future, supporting disengaged youth to break free from cycles of disadvantage and rediscover purpose through education, skills, and meaningful pathways
- Empower hands-on exploration, guiding young people through trade tasters, training, and work experience that help them uncover passions and practical routes to employment
- Foster resilience and wellbeing by offering a safe, supportive space where self-worth is built, emotional health is nurtured, and confidence to face life’s challenges is restored
- Be a mentor and role model supporting young people as they grow independence, strengthen social skills, and reconnect with their community and future
- Shape lasting impact by working collaboratively within a trauma-informed framework to design and deliver youth-led programs that create transformational change
What you will bring
- A relevant tertiary qualification in Youth Work, Social Work, Community Services, Education or a related field
- Possible additional certifications in mental health, trauma-informed care or educational support these would be highly desirable
- Proven experience supporting at-risk youth in community or educational settings, with the ability to deliver hands-on learning experiences and provide tailored case management through individualized support plans
- A current Employee Working with Children Check
- A current Victorian Drivers Licence
