About Us

Switch & Sip Café is a family-friendly café with a kids’ play area, weekend parties, and growing product lines including frozen ready-meals and pre-made cakes.
We are upgrading and expanding, and we’re looking for someone highly reliable, detail-oriented, and strong in execution — not necessarily creative or managerial, but excellent at getting tasks done.

About the Role

This role focuses on operational execution.
You will support day-to-day operations, ensure SOP is followed, assist with party preparations, handle basic admin tasks, and help implement new upgrades and projects.

This is perfect for someone who is organised, dependable, and enjoys a hands-on role in a dynamic café environment.

Key ResponsibilitiesDaily Café Operations

• Follow and enforce SOP procedures (opening/closing/cleaning/food safety).
• Check inventory levels and assist with ordering.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation, including the kids’ play area.
• Assist with simple food prep (if required).

Menu & Product Updates

• Update printed menus and in-store signage (materials provided).
• Assist with new children’s menu setup.
• Ensure new dishes/products are displayed and promoted in-store.

Party & Event Support

• Prepare party materials (decorations, goodie bags, vouchers).
• Set up party areas according to our standard checklist.
• Assist during parties and handle clean-up afterwards.
• Maintain the party calendar and booking notes.

Admin & Social Media Execution

• Upload posts provided by the owner (no content creation required).
• Keep digital folders organised (photos, menus, posters).
• Update small promotional cards/posters in the café.

Retail / Product Support

• Restock toys, frozen products, cakes, and retail shelves.
• Record weekly sales and report to the owner.
• Check expiry dates and product rotation.

General Support

• Assist with staff training checklists.
• Help prepare documents and simple spreadsheets.
• Support ongoing café upgrade projects.

What We’re Looking ForMust Have

• Strong execution ability — can follow tasks step-by-step with accuracy.
• Highly organised, reliable, and detail-oriented.
• Able to work independently once trained.
• Basic computer skills (emails, simple Excel, uploading posts).
• Comfortable in a family & children-friendly environment.
• Able to lift up to 10kg occasionally (stock, toys, decorations).

Nice to Have

• Experience in cafés, retail, hospitality, childcare, or events.
• Experience with party setup or kids’ activities.
• Interest in admin or operations roles.

Work Schedule

• 20–25 hrs per week
• Mainly Thursday to Sunday
• Some weekday hours for admin or preparation tasks
• Flexible for events/parties

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $53,832.69 – $65,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 20 – 38 per week
