Full job description
Our Second Line Operational Risk team provides independent oversight of Technology, Cyber and Information Security risk across Macquarie. Working as part of the Enterprise Risk function, the team helps drive a consistent approach to risk management by providing specialist risk insights, challenging risk practices, and supporting a strong risk culture across the Group.
We are a global financial services group operating in 30 markets with 57 years of unbroken profitability. At Macquarie, you’re empowered to shape a career that is fulfilling and creates value. You will bring your insights and expertise to the task at hand and feel supported as you make your own kind of impact for a better future.
What role will you play?
As a Senior Manager, you will lead enterprise-wide oversight of Technology, Cyber and Information Security risk, developing a consolidated view of risk exposures, emerging threats and control weaknesses across the organisation. You will review and challenge how risks are identified, managed and reported, ensuring alignment with enterprise risk appetite, policies and minimum control standards. The role will involve analysing risk information, identifying trends and themes, and providing clear insights to senior leaders and governance forums. You will also contribute to enterprise risk reporting, support the continuous improvement of risk frameworks and policies, and provide expert guidance to help strengthen non-financial risk management practices across the business.
What you offer
- Significant experience in Technology, Cyber and Information Security risk, Operational Risk Management, or a related risk discipline, with experience working in or partnering with enterprise risk functions
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex risk information, incidents, metrics and assurance outcomes into clear and actionable insights
- Experience developing and applying enterprise-wide risk frameworks, reporting approaches and risk measures, including identifying risk themes and trends across multiple business areas
- Proven ability to influence, engage and constructively challenge senior stakeholders while building strong working relationships across teams and levels of the organisation
- Experience supporting executive, board or regulatory reporting, with knowledge of enterprise policy, framework and standards development. Experience across other non-financial risk areas such as supplier, data or operational resilience risk is advantageous.
We love hearing from anyone inspired to build a better future with us, if you're excited about the role or working at Macquarie we encourage you to apply.
What we offer
At Macquarie, you’re empowered to shape a career that’s rewarding in all the ways that matter most to you. Macquarie employees can access a wide range of benefits which, depending on employment type, include:
- 1 wellbeing leave day per year
- Up to 5 additional service bonus leave days per year
- Up to 20 weeks’ paid parental leave for primary caregivers along with 12 days of transition leave upon return to work, and 6 weeks’ paid leave for non-primary caregivers
- 2 days of paid volunteer leave and donation matching
- Up to 12 months’ gender affirmation leave, including 6 weeks’ paid leave
- Access to Employee Assistance Program and wellbeing benefits including skin and health checks, and flu vaccinations
- Access to a wide range of salary packaging options
- Access to a wide range of learning and development opportunities, including reimbursement for professional membership or subscription
- Hybrid and flexible working arrangements, dependent on role
- Reimbursement for work from home equipment
