The role

As the Senior Risk Support Analyst, you’ll be a trusted advisor for uncovering valuable insights, sharpening our risk practices and providing assurance for the first line of defence teams.. You'll play a pivotal role in spotting patterns, elevating control effectiveness, and supporting our broader risk uplift across Insurance Australia.


Position Accountabilities

In this role, you will:

  • Support regulatory change by coordinating impact assessments and guiding operational teams through implementation.
  • Build capability across the business, delivering training and practical guidance to uplift obligations management.
  • Champion risk insights by pulling together high-quality analysis and reporting for senior stakeholders, ensuring key themes and trends are clearly understood.
  • Deep-dive into operational risk and compliance data identifying root causes and translating complex information into meaningful recommendations.
  • Strengthen quality and consistency across Line 1 by reviewing risk activities and helping teams uplift their risk capability.
  • Spot systemic issues, designing monitoring and escalation approaches aligned with broader frameworks.
  • Lead the Line 1 Community of Practice, maintaining a connected and aligned approach to risk management.
  • Contribute to the IA risk profile, helping ensure key risks are understood, managed and kept within target.

What experience you’ll bring

We’d love to hear from you if you have:

  • 5+ years working in compliance, risk, legal, audit or a related discipline within a regulated environment.
  • Strong grounding in compliance frameworks and obligations management.
  • A proactive mindset, someone who can seek clarity, break-down complex problems and lead initiatives, juggle competing priorities and deliver quality work independently.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder skills, with the ability to facilitate and guide multiple divisions to reach a consensus.
  • Confidence in interpreting complex data and turning it into valuable actionable insights.
  • Hands-on experience using risk management systems to perform reporting and analysis.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications or industry certifications (preferred but not essential).


Location –Toowong
