Our services comprise of nursing, palliative care, home help and support services, hospital in the home, allied health services, and the provision of equipment. As a Data and Insight Analyst at Silverchain working within the Research and Innovation division you will be responsible for supporting the implementation, maintenance and support of data analytics, insight projects, data science and data visualisations. Working collaboratively within the team and with stakeholders from across the business, this role ensures the delivery of data, reports and insights in line with business priorities.

What we're looking for

To thrive in this role, you'll need to have:


  • Qualifications in relevant discipline: Business, Leadership, Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, Data Science, Economics, Engineering, Statistics or Mathematics.
  • A deep understanding of at least part of the lifecycle of developing reports, analytics and insights.
  • Knowledge of relational database management systems to capture and utilise data.
  • Knowledge of data science and other contemporary analytical techniques.
  • Experience in leading engagements with senior stakeholders to develop actionable insights from disperse data and analysis.
  • Experience in data visualisation technologies such as Power BI.
  • Experience in the use of data profiling techniques to analyse data from source systems.
  • Experience across the full development data and reporting lifecycle (covering requirements, design implementation, testing, etc)
  • Experience in Lean and Agile delivery framework with a flexible and adaptable approach to work.

The role

As a Data and Insight Analyst you will:


  • Leverage tools like SQL, R, Python, DAX, and Power BI to analyse and visualise large datasets, uncover trends, and deliver actionable insights.
  • Design, develop, and maintain reproducible data pipelines using R, Python, and SQL to streamline data dissemination across diverse collections.
  • Develop clear, compelling dashboards and reports in Power BI. Use DAX to craft intelligent calculations and model both structured and unstructured data to support strategic decisions.
  • Advocate for strong data governance practices and help enforce data standards that elevate the integrity and usability of our data assets.
  • Ensure thorough documentation of functional and non-functional requirements, design specifications, and technical processes to support transparency and scalability.
