About the Role

Joining our team in Katanning on a casual basis, you will support people with disability who access our in home and community access services.

We're seeking enthusiastic support workers who enjoy getting involved in the unique interests and goals of the people they support. From gaming and swimming to community outings and everyday activities, you'll play a key role in creating positive and rewarding experiences.

To succeed in this role, you'll have a genuine passion for supporting people with disability, confidence working with behaviours of concern, and a willingness to provide personal care when needed. You'll also be flexible and available to work a range of shifts, including shorter 3-4 hours shifts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Follow person-centred support and behaviour plans
  • Facilitate client goal achievement through meaningful activities
  • Maintain thorough record keeping
  • Build positive relationships with clients, families and colleagues
  • Advocate for client choice and control
  • Provide personal care as required

Skills & Experience

  • A passion for working with people with disability
  • Enthusiasm to get involved in activities and interests of people you are supporting
  • Confidence to work with behaviours of concern
  • Willingness to provide personal care as required
  • Strong computer and verbal and written communication skills
  • An unrestricted Australian driver’s licence
  • A current First Aid and CPR Certificate

Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including a National Criminal History Record Check and obtain an NDIS Clearance.
