Disability Support Worker (Casual)

LunaCare is looking for Disability Support Workers to join the team in a casual capacity, with the scope to move into a part-time or permanent role in the future.

Core Responsibilities

  • Providing holistic support to our clients
  • Assistance with daily personal care needs for our clients.
  • Assistance with client engagement with community and social activities
  • Supporting clients to travel to and from activities and appointments as required
  • Assisting with the development of, and ongoing planning and assessment of client goals
  • Maintaining daily notes for client activities
  • Completion of required reports and documentation
  • Ongoing and positive communications with other client stakeholders, such as carers, family and staff
  • Working within a shift environment, which may include morning, afternoon/evening and weekend shifts, public holidays, and sleepovers.

Essential criteria

  • Minimum Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) or a completed/ongoing degree in Medicine, Nursing or an Allied Health field
  • Minimum 12 months experience as a Disability Support Worker or equivalent
  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Check or equivalent
  • Completion of the NDIS Workers Orientation Module
  • Current First Aid and CPR qualifications
  • Completed COVID-19 vaccinations, including booster
  • COVID-19 Infection Control Certificate
  • Current drivers licence

Job Type: Casual

Pay: $33.00 – $43.00 per hour
