Parcel Delivery Driver – Job Description

Position Overview:
The Parcel Delivery Driver is responsible for collecting, transporting, and delivering parcels and packages to customers in a timely and professional manner. The role requires reliability, punctuality, and a strong commitment to providing excellent customer service while ensuring all deliveries are handled safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Load, secure, and unload parcels and packages for delivery.
  • Plan and follow the most efficient delivery routes.
  • Deliver parcels to residential and business addresses while maintaining a high level of customer service.
  • Obtain delivery confirmations, signatures, or proof of delivery when required.
  • Handle parcels with care to prevent damage or loss.
  • Maintain accurate delivery records and logs.
  • Follow all road safety regulations and company policies.
  • Report any delivery issues, vehicle faults, or route changes to the supervisor promptly.
  • Keep delivery vehicle clean and presentable at all times.

Requirements:

  • Current and valid NSW Driver’s Licence (or equivalent).
  • Clean driving record.
  • Strong time management and organisational skills.
  • Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to lift and carry parcels safely (up to 20 kg).
  • Basic knowledge of local roads and GPS navigation systems.
  • Previous delivery or courier experience is advantageous but not required (training provided).

Work Conditions:

  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 6:00am – 2:00pm (may vary based on workload).
  • Pay: Paid hourly rate.
  • Work Location: Port Macquarie, NSW.
  • Reporting To: Operations or Site Manager

Contract length: 60 months

Pay: $1,150.00 – $1,500.00 per week
