Pelican Preschool is seeking a passionate, enthusiastic, and dedicated Diploma Qualified Educator to join our friendly and supportive team.

At Pelican Preschool, we are committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment where children can thrive. We value strong relationships with children, families, and our team and are looking for an educator who shares our commitment to high-quality early childhood education and care.

About the Role

As a Diploma Educator, you will:

  • Build secure, respectful, and responsive relationships with children and families.
  • Contribute to planning and implementing engaging educational programs in line with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).
  • Observe, document, and extend children's learning and development.
  • Create inviting learning environments that encourage play, exploration, and independence.
  • Work collaboratively with a supportive team of educators.
  • Ensure the health, safety, and wellbeing of all children.
  • Uphold the National Quality Standard (NQS), National Regulations, and Child Safe Standards in your daily practice.

We Are Looking For Someone Who:

  • Holds a Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care (or is working towards completion).
  • Has a genuine passion for working with children.
  • Demonstrates excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Is reliable, positive, and motivated.
  • Has a strong understanding of the EYLF, NQS, and child-safe practices.
  • Is committed to ongoing professional learning and reflective practice.

Essential Requirements

  • Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or working towards).
  • Current Working with Children Check (NSW).
  • Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications (or willingness to obtain).
  • Knowledge of Child Protection and Mandatory Reporting requirements.
  • Must have at least 2 current references we can contact
  • Must have proven work experience
  • Available to work between the hours of 7am-6.30pm Monday to Friday
