We are seeking a motivated Advanced Trainee Registrars in Emergency Medicine to join our dynamic Emergency Department team on a full-time, fixed-term basis.
Opportunities are available for:

These positions are ideally suited to Australasian College for Emergency Medicine (ACEM) trainees at T2 or T3 level, offering valuable experience within a supportive and collaborative clinical environment.
Eligibility

Join a dedicated Emergency Department team committed to delivering high-quality patient care while supporting trainee development and career progression.
- One-on-one time with enthusiastic FACEMs - every shift.
- Inpatient services include a 12-bed ICU, 16 bed CCU, Special Care Nursery and 13 theatres.
- Over 17,000 patients per year, with approximately 15% paediatric presentations and 25% admissions
- ACEM-accredited for up to 6 months advanced training in ED (linked with University Hospital Geelong)
- Excellent exposure to wide variety of pathologies in a mixed Emergency

The Position
- Manages Emergency Department (ED) patients under the direction of Emergency Medicine Consultants.
- Supportive FACEM-lead team-based care
- Works with hospital nursing staff to facilitate patient management including completing pathology requests, booking radiology and other procedures and checks investigation results and follows-up abnormal results.
- Carry out procedures within capabilities and experience.
- Commit to a team approach in the delivery of care, working closely with nursing staff, allied health professions, members of pastoral care services, and other clinicians both onsite and offsite.
- Communicates/liaises with General Practitioners, Consultants and Specialists as appropriate.
- Documents findings in the patient’s medical record and completes all related documentation.
- Develops strong collegiate relationships with other managers.
- Develops and maintains effective networks and relationships with all professional groups both within and external to the organisation in order to build proactive and visible partnerships in pursuance of service-related improvements
- Participates in after-hours and weekend rosters.
You will be eligible for registration as a medical practitioner with the Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA), with a minimum of 3 years clinical experience and a demonstrated knowledge in clinical and procedural experience in an equivalent ED setting and be an ACEM trainee.
You will have excellent verbal and written communication skills and be able to demonstrate clinical and procedural experience commensurate with clinical responsibilities of Registrar
