Full job description
The Project Officer Natural Disasters Emergency Preparedness and Response drives the development and coordination of projects and processes across the Natural Disasters Emergency Preparedness and Response unit. The role coordinates and provides advice across the team ensuring that delivery of preparedness, readiness response and relief activities for natural disaster emergencies. The position reports to the Senior Project Officer Natural Disasters Emergency Preparedness and Response in the Natural Disasters Emergency Preparedness and Response Natrual Disasters unit within the Natural Disasters and Emergency Management Branch.
To perform effectively in this role, it is essential to have demonstrated skills in project management, prioritisation, administration/executive support, and excellent conceptual skills. The successful applicant will also have highly developed communication skills, both written and verbal, a collaborative mindset, the ability to manage multiple and competing requests, and the ability to work across various projects, teams and branches. Additionally, the successful applicant will demonstrate motivation, initiative and confidence when engaging with stakeholders.
Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications
- Demonstrated proficiency in the use and administration of SharePoint, including content management, document control, information governance, and site maintenance.
This is a fixed term position available until 30 June 2027. The work location for this position is flexible within Victoria with hybrid work arrangements available.
