Your Opportunity

We are recruiting for a Design Manager to join our Engineering Team. This role is a permanent role that will be required to lead the design engineering of a continuous succession of projects across a variety of commodities.

This role will be based from our Osborne Park head office initially however in September 2026 we will be relocating to our new Head Office on St Georges Tce, Perth.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance of project design products with the Design Procedure.
  • Ensure design products comply with applicable legislation, standards, client, third party and project requirements.
  • Manage the multi discipline Design Team
  • Ensure design products are delivered in accordance with the project schedule and budget.
  • Provide a weekly update of design progress, issues, holds, change, risk, and deliverables register.
  • Hold weekly meetings as per the Design Procedure.
  • Ensure designs are fit for purpose and consider all aspects, including, cost, constructability, operability, and maintainability.
What You ‘Can Do’
  • Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 15+ years' experience in minerals processing design.
  • Demonstrated experience as a Design Engineer delivering minerals processing projects.
  • Previous experience as a Design Manager within the minerals processing sector.
  • Chartered Professional Engineer (desired).
  • Proven ability to manage a team of design professionals.
  • Detailed understanding of multi-discipline design delivery within the minerals processing sector.
  • Solid understanding of statutory and industry regulations and HSE practices.
  • Knowledge and practical application of design theories, principles, and practices.
  • Advanced level of expertise with engineering technical detail.
  • Demonstrated planning and organisation skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Commitment to continued professional development.
  • Strong work ethic.
