So many lives. So many ways. One you.
50,000 lives and counting.
That’s how many South Australians our people support each year.
As one of the state’s leading not-for-profits, we’re making a meaningful impact at scale. From foster care to aged care and everything in between, our services are as diverse as the people and communities we serve - and we’re growing our reach for the future.
It takes a special kind of person to work in this sector. Someone with real compassion and care. Could that person be you?
Join us as a Case Worker, and be part of something bigger.
What you’ll do
You'll provide strengths-based case management and outreach support to newly arrived young people (aged 12 - 21) and their families who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. You'll help stabilise housing, foster family reconciliation where possible, and support young people to engage with education, employment, training and the community. No two days are the same!
You will use your own vehicle when meeting clients (KM reimbursed).
This position is .5FTE, on a fixed-term contract until end of June 2027 & is based at Elizabeth.
You’ll be trusted to make a valuable impact by:
- Delivering short-term, culturally responsive case work that prioritises safety, wellbeing, and independence.
- Supporting young people and families to navigate settlement challenges and access essential services.
- Collaborating with schools, service providers, and families to create wraparound support.
- Facilitating group programs that build life skills, confidence, and community connection.
What you’ll bring
To thrive in this role, you will have:
- Tertiary qualification in Youth Work, Community Services or Social work, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Demonstrated experience working with CALD communities and young people.
- Strong time management and planning skills.
We would also love you to have:
- Knowledge of local services and supports for newly arrived families.
- Experience facilitating group work or community programs.
Why AnglicareSA?

More to enjoy:

- Find a better balance with flexible work options, including working from home, part-time work, compressed working weeks and flexible working hours for some roles
- Grow your skills and career with learning programs, professional development pathways, and education assistance
- Live and work well with our employee wellbeing program, confidential employee assistance program, chaplaincy services, domestic and family violence support, and more
- Put your family first with paid parental leave (including superannuation), personal leave to care for family members and additional unpaid leave for caring responsibilities
