Our Team

Our Above Water Systems team designs and engineers commercial and naval ships – as well as providing in-service support capabilities. We’re proud to bolster Australia’s sovereign capability through operational support to our Navy. With ongoing training programs and a team of over 500, our people have room to grow and move as they make a meaningful contribution to Australia’s Defence.

The Role:

An opportunity for a Objective Quality Evidence (OQE) Project Support to join our team based at Garden Island defence Precinct. You will contribute to significant projects in a dynamic and innovative environment.

The role has key accountability for the successful delivery of project documentation at the completion of Maintenance periods. This will be achieved by managing official documentation from start to finish with external Repair Agents, Internal Superintendents/Project Managers/Ship Managers and Commonwealth Representatives through difference tracking systems.
Duties cover all aspects of project administration and support whilst build strong stakeholder relationships.

Responsibilities will include;

• Review and audit to submit official documentation

• Daily status reporting and system updates

• Maintaining high-quality data integrity

• Participate in the development of improvements to the process and team

• Coordinating reports/documentation with Project teams and Commonwealth Representatives

• Conducting weekly progress meetings with internal Project teams

• Following up with Repair Agents on outstanding documentation

• Providing daily, accurate status reports with commentary on actions, bottlenecks and solutions

How about you?

• 1-2 years’ experience in a similar role

• High-level administrative capabilities and a customer-focused mindset

• Ability to engage and influence the breadth of internal and external Stakeholders to deliver quality outputs

• Understanding of project management deliverables and processes

• Strong attention to detail especially in auditing and compliance

• Demonstrated problem-solving and communication skills
