Full job description
Your Future Strategy, a part of the Septennial Group, is redefining the way professional advice is delivered. We believe clients deserve more than standalone advice. They deserve a trusted team that understands the bigger picture and works collaboratively to help them achieve their personal, financial and lifestyle goals.
By bringing together Financial Planning, Accounting, Lending, Property and Legal, we deliver holistic, integrated advice that considers every aspect of a client’s journey. Our team genuinely cares about the outcomes we help clients achieve and works together to create strategies that evolve with our clients over time.
As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced Financial Planner to join our Brisbane team.
The Opportunity
This is an opportunity to join an established, progressive advice business and develop trusted, long-term relationships with clients.
You will manage and grow a portfolio of clients, providing strategic advice tailored to their individual goals and circumstances. You will be supported by an experienced advice and implementation team, allowing you to focus on building relationships, delivering quality advice and achieving meaningful client outcomes.
A key part of the role is working collaboratively with specialists across Accounting, Lending, Property and Legal. This integrated approach enables you to consider the client’s complete financial position and develop coordinated strategies that go beyond traditional Financial Planning.
You will be responsible for
- Managing and developing trusted relationships with new and existing clients
- Understanding clients’ goals, circumstances and long-term aspirations
- Developing and presenting comprehensive, strategic financial advice
- Providing advice across superannuation, investments, insurance, retirement planning and wealth creation
- Working closely with paraplanning and implementation support throughout the advice process
- Maintaining high standards of advice quality, compliance and client care
- Conducting ongoing client reviews and identifying changing advice needs
- Collaborating across Accounting, Lending, Property and Legal to deliver integrated client strategies
- Contributing to business growth through strong client relationships, referrals and professional networks
- Embracing technology, innovation and continuous improvement
About You
You are an experienced Financial Planner who combines strong technical knowledge with a genuine ability to connect with people.
You take the time to understand what matters to your clients and translate complex financial concepts into clear, practical strategies. You are organised, commercially minded and committed to delivering advice that creates meaningful, long-term value.
Most importantly, you enjoy working collaboratively and recognise that the strongest client outcomes often come from bringing together multiple areas of expertise.
- A minimum of five years’ experience in Financial Planning or Wealth Advice
- Completion of all current education and regulatory requirements
- Current registration on the Financial Advisers Register, or eligibility to be registered
- Strong technical knowledge across superannuation and SMSFs, investments, personal insurance, retirement planning and wealth structuring
- Experience developing and presenting comprehensive Statements of Advice
- A sound understanding of compliance, governance and advice quality
- Strong relationship management and communication skills
- The ability to work collaboratively with advisers, support teams and professionals from other disciplines
- A genuine commitment to building lasting client relationships and delivering exceptional outcomes
Why Join Septennial Group?
At Septennial, we are building something different. Our success is built on our people, and we believe that investing in our team, fostering a positive culture and encouraging new ideas naturally leads to better client outcomes.
You will join a collaborative and growing business where you can broaden your expertise, contribute to the way advice is delivered and build a rewarding long-term career.
Our values guide everything we do: Integrity, Accountability, Client Focus. Collaboration, Competence, Innovation and Passion.
