About the role:
Applications are sought for the 2027 clinical year for a period of one year with possible extension. To be eligible to apply for this position you must be PGY3+ from February 2027.

Canberra Health Services recruits Senior Resident Medical Officers (SRMO) to the ACT Network which includes Canberra Hospital, North Canberra Hospital, University of Canberra Hospital, Goulburn Base Hospital, Moruya Hospital, Cooma Hospital and South-East Regional Hospital (Bega). All SRMOs are allocated rotations within the ACT Network.
Over the course of a year, the role will consist of two 12-13 week rotations in a service or relief role and two 12-13 week rotations in an area of individual preference. The successful applicant will be able to provide preferences for both non-service and relief rotations. Allocations will be assigned on a merit basis, and applicants may not be allocated their first preference in all circumstances.
Prior to commencement, the successful candidates will be required to:
- Undergo a pre-employment National Police Check
- Comply with Canberra Health Services Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination policy
