Position: Nuclear Medicine Technologist
Location: Icon Theranostic Centre Hollywood - Nedlands, WA
Employment Type: Locum – 4 weeks from 10 Aug 2026
It’s an exciting time to join Icon Group as we expand our cutting-edge Theranostic services into Western Australia! Our new Icon Cancer Centre – Molecular Imaging and Theranostics in Hollywood opened n November 2025 and we’re looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to be part of this exciting centre. This facility provides the newest Molecular Imaging technology in WA with a Siemens Biograph Trinion PET/CT and Siemens Symbia Pro.specta X3 SPECT/CT.
About the Role
As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you’ll play a vital role in delivering high-quality diagnostic and therapeutic services including PET/CT, SPECT/CT, diagnostic CT imaging, and radionuclide therapies. You’ll work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, efficient, and patient-centred care, while also contributing to clinical trials and research initiatives. This locum role is for a four (4) week period to cover annual leave.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform nuclear medicine procedures, PET/CT, diagnostic CT and therapeutic radionuclide administrations.
- Operate radiopharmacy equipment and ensure quality control of radiopharmaceuticals.
- Collaborate with clinical teams to support patient care and clinical research.
- Maintain accurate records and uphold radiation safety standards.
- Mentor junior staff and contribute to education and continuous improvement.
Essential:
- Tertiary qualification in Applied Science in Nuclear Medicine Technology
- Current registration with the Medical Radiation Practice Board of Australia / AHPRA.
- Eligible for licensing with the Radiological Council of WA.
- Experience in nuclear medicine and PET/CT
- Proficiency in contrast-enhanced diagnostic CT.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Commitment to continuing professional education and innovation
- Experience in Theranostics services and radionuclide therapy.
- Clinical trial research experience.
- Experience in student supervision and education programs.
