About the role:

This role supports the Asset & Maintenance Engineers in managing Council’s road, drainage, and bridge assets, including collecting field data and updating records. It involves working with contractors, staff, and other stakeholders, while ensuring safety procedures are followed. The role also helps improve asset management systems and provides training to maintenance teams.

Where it's located:

This position is based in Murwillumbah and can be directed to work from any Council work site.

Selection Criteria:

• Why are you interested in working at Tweed Shire Council, and what excites you most about this particular opportunity?

• Give an example of how you have communicated complex or technical information to a range of stakeholders. How did you ensure your message was understood?
• Describe how you manage competing priorities and deadlines. Include your experience using Microsoft Office (particularly Excel and Word) and your ability to read and interpret engineering or construction plans.

Desirable:

• Do you hold a Diploma in Civil Engineering and/or Asset Management
• Do you hold a General Construction Induction Card (White Card).
