Are you ready to take the next step in your career in 2026?

We are seeking a Finance Manager to join our team at one of Melbourne’s premier mixed-use precincts.

Reporting to the General Manager, you will be a trusted advisor to the client while leading a dedicated finance team of 2. Finance team. You will be managing the delivery of management and financial reports of two commercial sites of over 80,000 square metres.

This role will be based on-site in Melbourne CBD.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports with comprehensive variance analysis and commentary
  • Lead annual budget preparation and conduct 10-year reforecasts to optimize financial planning across the assets.
  • Review and approve journals, balance sheet reconciliations, and end-of-month checklists ensuring accuracy and compliance
  • Manage tenant recovery processes including outgoings and promotion fund budgets, plus calculate percentage rent for applicable tenants
  • Execute month-end and year-end closing procedures while processing rent smoothing journals for IFRS compliance
  • Maintain tight control over precinct operating costs and communicate financial performance to management stakeholders
  • Process owner remittances according to agreed schedules and coordinate with external auditors for compliance requirements
  • Review debtors and book bad debt provisions as necessary to ensure accurate financial reporting
  • Lead, coach and develop a finance team of 2 by setting measurable performance goals and driving collaborative excellence
  • Manage relationships with Building Management Team, clients, and JLL internal teams

Key Skills & Requirements

  • Tertiary education in Accounting, Finance or equivalent
  • Achievement or near completion of professional qualifications (CA or CPA) will be highly regarded
  • Prior experience in Commercial Property / Real Estate industry with experience using Yardi or other asset management software will be highly desirable
  • Solid interpersonal and relationship management skills with demonstrated ability to liaise with stakeholders at all levels
  • Sound written and oral communication skills with a positive approach to meeting client’s needs whilst managing tenants’ expectations
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of an effective team
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritise work within tight deadlines
