Ongoing full-time opportunity

Role based in Parramatta with flexible/hybrid working environment.

Salary relative to experience, and ranges from $116,981 - $129,492 + super

Join a team committed to integrity and accountability. As a Governance Officer, you’ll play a key role in supporting governance strategies that enable ethical decision-making and strengthen organisational capability.

About the role

In this role, you will:
assist in the development, implementation, and evaluation of governance frameworks across the Authority.

provide research, analysis, and administrative support to ensure compliance with legislative requirements and ethical standards.

support delivery of the agency’s Audit, Business Continuity & Crisis Management, Risk Management and Fraud & Corruption Control functions

A key part of your responsibilities will include preparing reports, briefs, and submissions for the Audit and Risk Committee, supporting secretariat services and effective operations of various governance forums, as well as supporting initiatives that build governance capability throughout the organisation.

About You

You are detail-oriented and proactive, with a strong understanding of corporate governance principles and compliance requirements. Your ability to manage competing priorities, maintain confidentiality, and deliver high-quality work under pressure sets you apart. Excellent communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders are essential.

Essential Requirements

Extensive knowledge and experience in delivering compliance activities in a complex multifaceted agency or business.

Tertiary qualification and/or relevant knowledge and experience.

The NSW Reconstruction Authority is a statutory corporation and executive agency of the Premier’s Department, that will improve how NSW plans for disasters and ensure that we recover from them faster.

To reduce the severity and impacts of disasters, the NSW Reconstruction Authority will complete critical planning and preparation with communities, businesses and government. When disaster does strike, we will get recovery started swiftly and coordinate reconstruction efforts across agencies, communities and other stakeholders.
