About the opportunity:

Mercy Hospital for Women has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Health Information Manager with a passion for coding to join our friendly team in a full-time fixed term capacity.

Specialised tertiary hospital Obstetric, Gynaecology and Neonate coding, including Neonatal Intensive Care.
Opportunities to participate in cross-campus coding from Werribee Mercy Hospital
Ensure completion of monthly ICD-10-AM coding withing set deadlines and in accordance with the Australian Coding Standards and Sate/National Coding Advice.
Participate in improvement initiatives to support optimal coding
Hybrid Work from Home opportunities will be available after coding completion

What you’ll bring:

You’re resilient, compassionate and have a whole lot of heart. Most importantly, you are committed to delivering exceptional patient-centred care.

To thrive in this role, you will have:

Recognised Health Information Manager or Clinical Coder qualification.
12 months coding experience and knowledge of casemix funding principles.
Excellent attention to detail.

You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining:

A current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check.
Proof of current influenza vaccination and other vaccination status consistent with public health orders.
