Alandale Produce is a well-established commercial farming business located in White Rock, NSW. We operate over 150 acres of farmland producing premium quality lettuce, cauliflower, cabbage, leek, potatoes and sweet corn. We supply fresh produce to wholesale markets throughout New South Wales seven days a week.

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver to join our team on a full-time basis.

About the Role

Reporting to the Farm Manager, you will be responsible for the safe and timely transportation of fresh produce from our farm to wholesale markets and distribution centres while ensuring compliance with all road transport and food safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive rigid or heavy vehicles to transport fresh produce to wholesale markets and customers.
  • Load, secure and unload produce safely to prevent damage during transit.
  • Conduct daily pre-start and post-trip vehicle inspections.
  • Maintain vehicle logbooks and delivery documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with Heavy Vehicle National Law (HVNL), Chain of Responsibility (CoR) and road safety regulations.
  • Monitor refrigerated vehicles where applicable to maintain product quality.
  • Perform basic vehicle maintenance checks and promptly report faults.
  • Assist with loading activities using appropriate manual handling techniques and equipment.
  • Communicate with farm staff, market personnel and customers regarding delivery schedules.
  • Maintain cleanliness and presentation of the vehicle.
  • Follow workplace health and safety procedures at all times.
  • Work flexible hours, including early morning starts, weekends and public holidays during peak harvest periods.

Essential Requirements

  • Current Australian HR or HC Driver Licence.
  • Minimum two years' truck driving experience.
  • Good knowledge of NSW road network and regional delivery routes.
  • Strong commitment to workplace safety.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Physically fit and capable of loading and unloading produce when required.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Reliable, punctual and honest.

Desirable

  • Forklift Licence.
  • Experience transporting fresh produce or agricultural products.
  • Knowledge of refrigerated transport operations.
  • Basic mechanical knowledge.
