About the Role:
Join the research team at the Riverland Academy of Clinical Excellence (RACE) as a Population Health Research Scientist and lead innovative, data-driven research that improves health outcomes and informs clinical practice, service planning and policy for RMCLHN. Working with complex health data and advanced analytical methods, you'll have the autonomy to deliver high-impact research, collaborate with multidisciplinary experts, secure competitive funding, and translate evidence into meaningful change that benefits communities.
What We're Looking For:
Essential Criteria
PhD in Epidemiology, Public Health, Biostatistics or a related discipline.
Demonstrated expertise leading complex, data-driven research projects, including funding acquisition and publication.
Advanced knowledge of epidemiology, biostatistics, population health analytics, data linkage and large health datasets.
Excellent analytical, organisational and communication skills, with proficiency in statistical software and stakeholder engagement.
Strong understanding of research governance, ethics, data privacy, quality, safety and person-centred care principles.
Desired Criteria
Knowledge of rural healthcare and research, including rural and/or Aboriginal population health.
Experience analysing complex multimorbidity health datasets.
Postgraduate qualification in clinical research or a related clinical field.
