Full job description
Haileybury welcomes applications for the role of Junior ICT Support Technician to join us on a casual basis, commencing as soon as possible.
Reporting to the Associate ICT Services Manager and Head of ICT Operations, the successful candidate will provide hands-on support across a range of end point devices, helping staff and students stay connected, productive, and supported.
Key Responsibilities
As a Junior ICT Support Technician, you will:
- Provide hands-on technical support, troubleshooting and resolution for endpoint devices, hardware, peripherals, audiovisual equipment and network connectivity.
- Manage user accounts, device imaging and endpoint connectivity, ensuring a reliable and functional ICT environment.
- Triage and resolve application issues across key platforms including Synergetic, Canvas, myHaileybury and Consent2Go, escalating where required.
- Assist with the installation, management and support of business and student applications, maintaining relevant knowledge base and asset management records.
- Deliver proactive, customer-focused helpdesk and classroom support to staff and students across the Haileybury community.
- Collaborate with ICT team members and external vendors to resolve technical issues and ensure efficient service delivery.
- Provide audiovisual and technical support for school events and activities as required.
About You
At Haileybury we are seeking exceptional people. We are looking for a team player who brings the following skills and experience:
- Relevant tertiary degree or equivalent experience in similar role
- Demonstrated ability to diagnose and resolve a range of technical hardware and end-user support issues, including complex and challenging scenarios.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving and proactive support skills, with the ability to identify trends and appropriately escalate issues.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in end-user technical support.
- Good working knowledge of Active Directory and Azure cloud technologies, with fundamental knowledge of SCCM and Apple devices.
- Working technical knowledge of current protocols, operating systems, standards, tools and peripheral equipment.
- Ability to interpret technical manuals, procedural documentation and OEM guides.
- Flexible, adaptable and solutions-focused, with the ability to think creatively and respond to changing priorities.
- Awareness of privacy, security and legal requirements relating to the use of technology.
- Relevant technical certifications such as CompTIA A+ and Microsoft Windows certifications are desirable.
- Current full Victorian Driver’s Licence and willingness to travel between campuses as required.
