Position Information
- Working with Children Check Clearance
- Completion of mandatory training required by the Department of Education and a willingness to undertake first aid training relevant to the School Learning Support Officer role.
- Administration of Medications – training to be provided based on student needs.
- Health support training to be provided based on student needs (subject to transition provisions).
Selection Criteria
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Ability to work with students with emotional, physical or intellectual disabilities.
- Awareness of the needs of students with emotional, physical or intellectual disabilities.
- Effective communication skills.

Edmondson Park Public School is a growing K–6 co-educational school in south-west Sydney, currently supporting 935 students from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds. Established in 2023, we are a vibrant and inclusive school community committed to seeing every student flourish and grow. Staff at Edmondson Park Public School work collaboratively, sharing their expertise and supporting one another to achieve the best outcomes for students. Our Support Unit currently includes three classes supporting students with Autism and a Moderate Intellectual Disability, with a fourth class planned for 2027. School Learning Support Officers are valued members of our school team and play an important role in creating inclusive, engaging and supportive learning environments for our students. As a new and evolving school, staff have the opportunity to be part of an exciting stage of our development, working alongside a passionate and collaborative team to support positive outcomes for our students.
