Remuneration: $137,525.00 - $156,231.00 per annum, plus 12% superannuation
Hours Per Week: 38

About us
The Agency for Clinical Innovation (ACI) leads innovation in clinical care across NSW. We do this by bringing clinicians, patients and healthcare managers together to design and implement new ways to deliver healthcare.

About the Opportunity
The Aboriginal Health & Wellbeing Project Officer will promote develop and implement strategic change management initiatives that will improve the level and quality of health services for Aboriginal people across NSW. This includes projects that support better integration of care across sectors. The role will work collaboratively with ACI Clinical Networks, local health districts and specialty health networks managers and clinicians, the Aboriginal Community Controlled sector and other key stakeholders to facilitate the contribution of internal and external stakeholders in the innovation of new programs, frameworks and models of care and clinical guidelines across the state. This role will also provide high level advice and executive support functions to senior committees and taskforces.

Selection Criteria

  • Must be of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent through parentage, identification as being Aboriginal and being accepted in the community as such under section 14 (d) of the NSW Anti- discrimination Act (1977), with knowledge and experience of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture.
  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline and/or demonstrated relevant industry experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide expert advice which is strategic and adds value to a project at a statewide level.
High level community development skills including the ability to manage and support multidisciplinary teams

Pre-Screening Questions

  • Describe your experience working with Aboriginal communities, Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisations (ACCHOs), or Aboriginal health stakeholders to achieve improved health and wellbeing outcomes.
  • How have you applied culturally responsive and co-design approaches to ensure Aboriginal peoples' perspectives, priorities and experiences have informed clinical innovation, service redesign, quality improvement, or policy initiatives?
  • Provide an example of a project, program, or initiative you have coordinated or supported. How did you manage stakeholders, timelines, and competing priorities to achieve the desired outcomes?
