The Opportunity:

Kent are looking for an experienced Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Technician to join our high performing team on Shell's QGC business in the Surat Basin! This is an ideal role for residents of the local area or who reside in Brisbane. The work roster is 15 days on 13 days off, 10 hours per day.

Responsibilities:

• Execute / perform preventive and corrective maintenance tasks on plant and equipment, safely and effectively, and provide technical assistance, as required, to the Operations Team
• Inspect test, adjust and repair equipment to satisfy appropriate governing standards.
• Demonstrate high-quality fault-finding skills and the ability to troubleshoot autonomously.
• Liaise with other technicians in the team to undertake repair activities.
• Support the Lead Electrical & Instrumentation Technician and Supervisor through advice and recommendations on improvements in production and planned maintenance.
• Maintain maintenance records through effective documentation system as well as with Maintenance Management System
• Provide technical advice on all instrumented and electrical equipment.
• Working autonomously and in remote operations

About You:

Our ideal candidate will hold an Electrical Trade Certificate (Cert III Electrotechnology) along with a current QLD Electrical License, supported by a Cert III in Instrumentation. They will also maintain up-to-date CPR and LVR qualifications (1-year validity) and possess EEHA Certification, ensuring they are fully equipped to work safely and confidently in hazardous areas.
