Full job description

As our highly valued Investigations Analyst based in Brisbane, your role will investigate complex Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Counter Terrorism Financing (CTF) matters, supporting our purpose of helping every Australian own their own home.

You'll make an impact by:

  • Conducting complex AML/CTF investigations, analysing customer activity and preparing high-quality Suspicious Matter Reports (SMRs) where required to support regulatory obligations.
  • Managing requests for information from law enforcement agencies, ensuring accurate, timely and compliant responses within statutory timeframes.
  • Assessing financial crime risks and preparing clear, evidence-based recommendations that support customer retention or exit decisions.
  • Identifying opportunities to strengthen processes, controls and investigation practices to enhance our financial crime risk management capability.
  • Building trusted relationships across the business while maintaining current knowledge of financial crime trends, regulatory requirements and industry best practice.

You will bring:

  • Experience in AML/CTF, financial crime investigations, fraud, compliance or a related financial services environment.
  • Strong analytical and investigative skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent written communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear, concise and well-supported reports.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the confidence to work across multiple business areas and external agencies.
  • The ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining quality and meeting regulatory timeframes.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in a related discipline (or equivalent industry experience) will be highly regarded.
