About the Role
We are excited to announce a unique opportunity for a motivated Medical Receptionist to join our friendly team at MyHealth Redfern. We are looking for someone dedicated to providing exceptional support to our clinicians, administrators and patients. What You’ll Be Doing

  • Greeting and welcoming patients in a warm and professional manner
  • Scheduling and managing patient appointments efficiently
  • Handling patient inquiries both in person and over the phone with empathy and professionalism
  • Checking in patients, confirming appointments, and assisting with paperwork
  • Processing Medicare, DVA, private, and bulk billing payments
  • Managing referrals, recalls, and patient follow-ups with urgency
  • Collaborating with the clinical team to ensure a seamless patient journey
  • Maintaining accurate patient records and documentation
  • Assisting with various administrative tasks to support the smooth operation of the practice

Essential:

Preferred:

  • Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar customer service role within the healthcare sector
  • Familiarity with medical practice management software and relevant computer applications
  • Knowledge of Medicare, DVA, Work Cover, HICAPS, and Private Health Insurance billing preferred
  • Juniors and entry-level applicants are welcome
