About the role
If you enjoy being at the heart of how things get done and making a real difference for customers, this could be the one for you.
As a Lending Service Operations Officer, you’ll support customers through the life of their lending products - from post-settlement maintenance through to payouts, closures and discharges. A lot of this work sits behind some of our more complex lending across specialist, business and commercial portfolios, so you’ll play a key role in keeping things running smoothly for both customers and the teams who support them.
This role brings together customer service and operations, with a strong focus on reconciliations- including managing suspense accounts and processing requests end-to-end. You’ll be helping ensure everything is accurate, compliant and moving as it should, while also supporting bankers and stakeholders to deliver the right outcomes.
You’ll be part of Group Operations Service Delivery, in a team that works closely with a broad range of lending areas across the business. It’s a collaborative environment where people genuinely support each other, share knowledge and look for better ways of doing things. There’s plenty of opportunity to learn, grow and build your capability while contributing to a really important part of the lending journey.
About you
You’re someone who takes pride in doing a good job and genuinely cares about the experience you create for customers and stakeholders. You might come from a customer service or operational background, and while lending experience is helpful, it’s not essential - we’re much more interested in your attitude, attention to detail and willingness to learn.
You’re comfortable working across systems and processes, able to stay organised and manage your time when things get busy. You ask questions, communicate clearly and build strong working relationships with the people around you.
You’ve got a strong eye for detail, particularly when it comes to reconciliations and processing work, and you understand how important accuracy is in delivering the right outcomes. You’re also someone who enjoys getting stuck in, taking ownership and finding ways to improve how things work.
Most importantly, you bring a positive, curious mindset and enjoy being part of a team that’s always looking to get better. You’re happy to roll your sleeves up, contribute to a supportive team culture and help deliver strong outcomes together. If you’re looking for your next step, we’d love to hear from you.
