Café MECCA has officially arrived – our celebration of Melbourne's world-class hospitality, brought to life in partnership with award-winning specialty coffee roaster Seven Seeds. Now open in our Bourke Street flagship, Café MECCA brings together beauty and coffee culture in one exciting space.

We're looking for one experienced Barista to join the team on a casual basis. You'll craft exceptional coffee and beverages while creating memorable, meaningful moments with every customer. Combining technical precision with warm, genuine hospitality, you'll help bring to life a space that feels both elevated and inviting.

Day-to-day responsibilities:

• Craft specialty beverages and signature drinks that deliver that perfect MECCA moment, every single time

• Welcome each customer with genuine warmth and expert knowledge, making every interaction feel personal and special

• Operate espresso machines, grinders, and brewing equipment with precision and confidence, creating consistently exceptional results

• Keep the café space pristine and organised, upholding the highest standards of cleanliness and food safety that reflect our commitment to excellence

• Monitor inventory levels and assist with restocking to ensure we're always ready to deliver seamless service

• Work collaboratively with retail and café team members to support integrated in-store experience

What success looks like in this role:

• Absolutely loves great coffee

• Can confidently deliver an exceptional customer experience in line with MECCA’S customer service standards

• Can demonstrate minimum of 2 years’ previous experience as a barista or in a café/food service environment

• Can demonstrate sound knowledge of coffee-making techniques and equipment

• Familiar around La Marzocco Linea

• Ability to show an active commitment to continuous learning and improvement

• Can work effectively and safely as part of the team to ensure the successful running of the store

• Always upholding the MECCA values
